12 Questions to Ask Before Booking an Immigration Consultation
A practical pre-booking questionnaire for immigration consultants and law firms to route inquiries without pretending to assess legal eligibility.
Copy the 12 questions below into your pre-booking flow, then delete anything your team cannot explain or act on.
This is a routing form, not a hidden eligibility assessment. Its output should be a next step, not a legal conclusion.
The 12 Questions
- What is your full name?
- What is the best email or phone number for appointment communication?
- Which country are you currently in?
- Which country or immigration system is your inquiry about?
- Which service best describes what you are looking for?
- What is your main objective in your own words?
- Is there an important date or urgent situation the firm should know about?
- Have you previously spoken with this firm about the same matter?
- Are you looking for a short fit call or a detailed professional consultation?
- What language would you prefer for communication?
- How did you find the firm?
- Do you understand that submitting this form does not guarantee eligibility, representation, or a particular outcome?
These are routing questions. They do not decide whether someone qualifies for a visa, permit, appeal, residency pathway, or any other legal result.
Questions to Avoid Too Early
Do not request passport scans, financial records, complete family histories, or large document uploads through an ordinary public form unless the firm's approved security and compliance process requires and protects them.
Also avoid asking 40 detailed questions before the visitor knows:
- Whether the firm handles the matter
- Whether the consultation is free or paid
- Who will review the information
- What happens after submission
Information collection should follow trust, not demand it blindly.
How to Route the Answers
Create clear outcomes instead of one generic thank-you page:
Potential fit: Explain the consultation, payment if applicable, and booking step.
More information required: Ask only the missing routing question.
Outside the firm's scope: Say so respectfully and provide a safe next direction where appropriate.
Urgent manual review: Give the inquiry to the approved team process without promising priority or an outcome.
Existing client: Move the person to the existing-client channel instead of treating them as a new lead.
Form Tool or Guided Journey?
A dedicated form tool is a strong choice for complex questionnaires. A legal or immigration practice platform is the correct place for sensitive case records and formal work.
CroozLink is useful for the client-facing route around those systems. It can present the service, collect basic answers, guide the person to the correct payment or booking action, and keep the next step visible in one journey.
If all you need is a long questionnaire, use a form product built for that job. If the problem is helping different inquiries reach different actions without getting lost, the journey matters as much as the form.
Ask enough to route responsibly, but not so much that the first interaction feels like unpaid case preparation.
The best pre-booking question is not the one that collects the most data. It is the one that helps the right person take the right next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ask only what is needed to route the inquiry: service interest, relevant countries, current location, urgency, preferred language, prior contact with the firm, and the person's main objective.
Administrative intake should not present itself as a legal eligibility assessment. Professional judgment belongs with an authorized professional following the rules of the relevant jurisdiction.
Keep it short enough to complete in a few minutes. Deeper case history can be collected after the correct consultation path is confirmed.
