This is not an article to read and forget. Put a timer beside the phone and use the call card below.

Call objective: Choose the correct next step.
Not the objective: Compress a paid professional consultation into 15 unpaid minutes.

The 15-Minute Structure

Minutes 0-2: Set the boundary

Use a clear opening:

This short call is to understand what kind of help you are looking for and whether our firm has an appropriate next step. It is not a full case assessment, and we will not make an eligibility decision during this call.

The boundary should feel professional, not defensive.

Minutes 2-7: Understand the objective

Ask:

  1. What are you trying to achieve?
  2. Which country or immigration system is involved?
  3. Where are you currently located?
  4. Is there a known deadline or urgent event?
  5. Have you already filed, received a decision, or worked with another representative?

These questions provide context. They do not replace formal intake or professional review.

Minutes 7-11: Confirm service fit

Explain whether the firm handles this category and what the next service includes.

Do not begin giving detailed advice to prove expertise. Clarity creates more trust than a rushed mini-consultation.

Minutes 11-14: Present one next step

The result may be:

  • Book a paid professional consultation
  • Complete a specific intake form
  • Send limited information through the approved channel
  • Contact another type of professional or official resource
  • Wait for manual review from the firm

Give one route, not five loosely connected options.

Minute 15: Confirm ownership

Say who acts next and when.

I will send one link containing the consultation details, payment, available times, and preparation steps. If you want to continue, complete it before Friday.

Free Copyable Call Scorecard

Mark each item yes or no:

  • The inquiry is within the firm's service scope.
  • The relevant jurisdiction is supported.
  • The person understands the next service is paid or free.
  • The person appears ready to provide required information.
  • No urgent issue was promised immediate handling.
  • The correct next action was sent.

This is an operational routing scorecard, not an eligibility assessment.

What Happens After Minute 15

The call itself does not need another tool. The friction comes after it, when payment, booking, intake, preparation, and instructions arrive through separate messages.

CroozLink can turn the agreed next step into one guided client journey. If a simple calendar link is enough, a dedicated scheduler is the simpler choice. If the lead repeatedly asks where to pay, what to complete, and what happens next, the surrounding journey needs work.

The best discovery call does not prove how much you know. It protects deep professional work for the correct setting and helps the person move forward without confusion.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a short fit and routing conversation. It identifies the service needed and the correct next step without turning into unpaid case analysis.

Fifteen minutes is often enough when basic information is collected before the call and the scope is stated clearly.

The person should receive one clear outcome: paid consultation, request for limited missing information, another appropriate route, or a respectful decline.

From first impression to signed client.

Bring booking, documents, payment, and next steps into one connected client journey.
