I have over 5k followers on Linkedin and get most of my leads there. Is it really necessary to invest in a custom website in 2026?

Relying 100% on social media is the most dangerous risk a modern founder can take. Social Media is "Rented Land." A Website is "Owned Land." Think about it- If the algorithm changes tomorrow, or your account gets flagged (which happened to many creators in 2026), you have zero business left overnight. Social media is great for Attention, but a Website is where you convert that attention into Asset Ownership (like an email list). The Bottom Line- Don't build a skyscraper on a lot you don't own. Use social media to drive traffic, but use your website to own the customer relationship.
